  • @#$@#$ youtube..

Still fooling around trying to figure out the upload issues with youtube.

Currently on the 7th or so attempt at an upload for a new movie.

I've changed file formats more times than I can remember, tried to change the editing programs, etc.

Factor in a satellite connection that turns to crap once six rain clouds gather together, and you can probably understand my frustration!!!

I have probably an hour of video on the camera, probably at least 6 or more videos. Most importantly their is short "commercials" for the new site here on each of these new videos ;)

This current upload try has been running for 30 minutes and shows just 2% uploaded.....

I uploaded my first video to YouTube last weekend. I had never tried before and wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to get into. The footage that I uploaded was a short video that was taken of me using my Kodak still camera in video mode. The video was in an MP-4 format. I did no editing. As I am a novice at this compaired to you, could it be your connection, versus the way the video is edited? I talked to a friend who had been uploading vacation videos along with some sport videos he had taken and he was just using a standard Windows format, again with no editing. Could you try to have someone with a landline, i.e. a cable or DSL connection upload the videos for you? If you need any help in that reguard I would be willing to help you out.

Appreciate the offer. I'm working through it. I think it's more of a file problem than a connection problem. Although the connection issues give me fits too LOL I was mainly just ranting, sorry.

I've uploaded several videos and have never had a problem. All of my videos are edited using iMovie on an apple laptop. I use an AT&T wireless internet service. I love your videos, so despite the frustration, keep trying.

            Success! Praise the Lord!

The wife got on it today and she rocks when it comes to "technical" stuff.

If you have a good cell phone reception you might look into getting a smart phone with wi-fi capability and use it as your internet connection. In-laws have satellite also so I know your pain.
