which is funny because I bought my BOB from you LOL ;)

so I go out the other night after hearing some banging around and find the horses who live behind me out of water and kicking the trough around I suppose to either get attention or try and get more water out of it. I'm already in for the evening so I get dressed and run a hose out there and fill it for them. This aint the first time neither but I believe that is fixed after my discussion with the owner who was too busy at a horse show :mad: That stuff dont fly with me.

I truly hope there is a special level of Hell for people who abuse and neglect animals; there is not, cannot be, an acceptable reason for that kind of behavior. There are too many people and organizations that will assume the responsibility for the care of animals whose owners can no longer provide for them.

good for you Grand. This is way my wife won't let me volunteer at the local shelter, even though they have a no adoptions by vols for 6 months policy. No accounting for the beast within our fellow man.

One of our Shepherds has a pink camo collar :) She's the one that made the cameo in the S and P 1st anniversary video. I was chastised by some supposed dog trainer because I was playing with her face in the video. I was told by this expert that that activity hindered their development in "bite training." I informed the expert that he of all people ought to know that some dogs are NOT candidates for "attack dog" type training. Dogs have personalities just like people. He ASSumed that 1. I wanted the dog "bite trained." and 2. The dog had the temperment for that sort of thing. The answers to both 1 and 2 were no. Oh well, Youtube, where anyone can post anything, a 12 year old can make stupid comments and everyone is an expert cause they watched a couple videos...

I have no doubt Grand's dog Tara was abused, but we need to be careful about assuming a dog was abused simply because it cowers at loud noises. Case in point, we had a Chihuahua, who was born on our place and no one ever laid a hand on her in anger or violence, but she was the most timid animal I have ever encountered! The way she acted, one would naturally assume that we beat the living daylights out of her! It was nuts. She was sweet and very loving, but if we were loud - playing or just hollering from one end of the house to the other, she would almost melt into a puddle!

Congrats on the new dog Grand! I love GSDs (and Chihuahuas). In a PAW event, I plan to breed a female GSD to a male Chi to create my own breed of super attack beasts! :D

Grand whats wrong with alittle bling, they do make a BOB (they wear them)for large dogs. A buddy has one for each of his dogs. They're pretty cool, hold all kinds of things in them. Come in many different colors and patterns.
