  • Daily mail - Princes Launch 'Prepper Ready Meals'

    Saw this on another forum;

    Range 'convenient for households wanting to stock up'

    Talk about jumping on the band wagon :D

    Reminds me of the local supermarket, when we had that run on petrol a couple of months back and all of a sudden a basket of tetra cans appeared in the foyer....

    We have something similar over here:

    Shelf stable for about the same amount of time. Says it needs microwaving, but you can eat them cold. Not unlike an MRE in that regards. Better heated, but you can live on it otherwise. Hormel just doesn't package it that way lol

    You can keep your curry though :D

      There are actually a few different brands of these. I 'brown bag' my lunch at work and keep a couple of these around for times I'm too rushed to make up the lunch. Not my first choice, but not bad in a pinch. No refrigeration required.

        I agree with that. One of the spice I can not tolerate.:p

        I've tried some of the Hormel stuff and wasn't impressed. I could eat it if I were starving and it was last resort. But I'll take peanut butter and crackers over that any day.

              You know, as I sit here reading this, I can just about hear the British accent speaking it lol
