  • 5 Reasons Why the Coming Depression Will Be Good For America

There's no doubt about it now. It is certain. A great depression unlike the world has ever known is definitely knocking on our door and is shortly to arrive. And this isn't pessimism. I'm actually quite the optimist. But I just simply recognize that no amount of optimism can out-weigh macro-economic forces.

But there is something I am very optimistic about... and that is my and your ability to prosper in the midst of this great coming economic collapse. But I'll get to that shortly.

So why is a collapse certain? Well, because America doesn't produce anything anymore. We are a nation (Canada included) of consumers, not producers. And when this happens on a long-term basis, collapse is inevitable (no matter what Ben Bernanke or any ignorant politician may claim). Only mass production of goods that the world wants, is what keeps an economy going, and you shouldn't listen to "economists" who make it much more complicated than that.

Also, the US dollar is the world's reserve currency, and Mr Bernanke and the Federal Reserve have the "peddle to the metal" on the printing press, and are printing the currency into oblivion, insuring an inflationary depression in the future. It's not just a possibility anymore... It is sure. Trillion dollar deficits (unheard of in all history before this) will make it sure.

But I would like to outline 5 reasons why this coming depression will, in the end, be good for America (and other "westernized" countries):

    1. America has become lazy, and has an entitlement attitude.

-When any country takes on an attitude like this on a huge scale, nothing but disaster can accumulate in the future. We have been content to constantly "borrow from future generations" by accumulating mass deficits and buying everything we own, from China. This depression will help us overcome laziness and shed our entitlement attitude.

    2. It will make us question our whole monetary system, and there will probably be reforms.

-Of course this would be wonderful. Really, the root cause of our problems is the central banking system itself, specifically fractional reserve banking. If you haven't already, watch "Money As Debt", or "The Money Masters". These documentaries are extremely powerful and will open your eyes.

    3. It will force us to look inside and depend on ourselves, instead of entitlement systems and government handouts.
-There is no doubt about it. The welfare state is an absolute drain on society. Those who do not contribute to society always are carried along at great expense to those who do, and of course, this is a great inequity. And a great depression will no doubt help many realize this.
    4. Greater leaders will come to the surface.[/B]

-This will be a wonderful advantage from a depression. Hopefully we will listen to those who predicted this coming collapse (and there are many), and hopefully they will gain prominence in government for their foresight ahead of time.

    5. It will force us all to grow.

-I believe this depression will be a "blessing in disguise" for many people. This will force so many of us to grow personally, spiritually, financially, relationally, etc. And specifically, for people who see this coming, they can position themselves now to actually prosper from the collapse.

And speaking of prospering from the coming collapse, as the depression bares down on us, there will be more and more people looking for alternate ways to provide for themselves and their family. Fortunately, for the automated internet business owner, this will be a great advantage, and will actually put a lot of money in the pockets of those who have positioned themselves well.

No doubt hard times are ahead. But for those who are well positioned, and see it coming, this will be quite the opportunity. I would encourage you to position yourself with a business that is automated. Decide that you are going to become a leader who gives people value, and go to work helping others prosper as well. This type of person will do well in the coming years.

How in the world will automation or the Internet be of any value in the coming depression? If we are lucky we will go back just to the early 1900's technology. No one except the government and military will have the Internet much less phones, electricity will be a luxury for the rich.

Another blessing (if you choose to look at it that way) is that it will stave off for a short time peak oil.

A minor note, fractional reserve banking is not anywhere near the problem as the dollar being worthless. If the dollar has no backing it is worthless, it needs to be backed by something.
    imo

Well, I just don't agree with any of it from the very first line. Frankly, I don't think things are going to get much worse. Just my thoughts...

I agree with almost everything depending on whether the congress and senate changes this fall, if we get reps in office that realize entitlements have to stop or the whole country will go down( we can't keep going with more people taking out of the system then there are putting into it) a raise for the people on relief, 99 weeks for people on unemployment,26 more billion for the teachers and the list goes on and on.health care is going out of sight.government workers earning more than the private sector jobs.

The coming events will NOT be a depression - it will be a complete economic collapse. It will not be 'good' for anyone. There will be a complete social breakdown and an unbelievable level of violence.
