Never would have imagined using Waffle House to determine if disaster is looming lol
Not sure if the .gov should be relying solely on restaurants and businesses to determine what aid goes where. This may not be scientific, but might actually work somewhat. And I mean, come on, when's the last time you ever saw a Waffle House shut down for anything? lol
However, they do bring up a good point in how "bad" a place might be in a given situation with supplies not getting in. Businesses close because of lack of supplies means nothing is getting through. And if a commercial business can't get supplies in or have the infrastructure to stay open, chances are others can't get through either. Again, not real scientific, but it would be a good indicator that an area might be in trouble.
So as a reminder, if your local Waffle House closes, best go home and start loading magazines. :D
