    Met the folks that are putting this on last fall at Sootch's Prepper conference in SC, they seem to be real nice folks.

            I was thinking the same thing for those of us on the West Coast.

            SC
            "Do not fear, for I am with you;
            Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
            I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
            Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

                If you are in the central part of the country, there is a prepper expo in Springfield, MO this weekend.

                        the survivalist industry appears to be in its infancy.

                        for those that would like to see a seminar in their area,
                        i encourage you to search out good speakers and exhibitors and
                        sponsor/start a seminar for your state.

                        i read an article about new business start ups at cnnmoney sponsored by one of americas
                        premier business schools, then read this update. sounds like a ground floor opportunity to me!

                            This should be a good time to learn alot or atleast meet other like minded people. I am local (20 miles or so) form this event, I hope I can make it.

                            Anyone close enough to make it to this event may also like try to make it to a series of events I just learned about that are happening at Chimney Rock Park (think the set of The Last of the Mohicans). They are hosting a Survival Skills Workshop Series... I already missed the first one (Wilderness First Aid), but the second (Wild Edibles) in the series is this weekend 4/28/12 . Then the 3rd (Shelter Building/Fire) is on June 9th.

                            I think they will be alot of fun... I hope to learn alot too. But regardless the views and wilderness will be great (as long as the weahter holds up)

                              Sounds good NYP, wished I wasn't 7 hours away. Definitely need more training in wild edibles.
