It's scary. There's not too much that I can see we can do other than common sense hygiene practices. -
We are an airplane ride away from biological disaster! It's only a matter of time and everyone, including the CDC, knows it. Why do you think the "over reaction" to H1N1 happened. They are worried at the CDC and the WHO make no mistake about it.
I was director of infection control from a very large medical center. I was asked by the CDC and required by JCHAO to write plans for all types of biological disasters. The one a remember most was one for Ebola, which is transmitted by both the airborne and contact route. I was even re-vaccinated from smallpox as part of Homeland Security's Weapons of Biological Destruction program.
Like I said, it's only a matter of time.Comment
