  • Federal Deficit Adds $165 Billion Just in July!

It keeps adding up. I would ask you to ask some co-workers or family/friends if they know what the Federal debt total is. I'll bet you find out many do not. Then tell them that it totals over $13 TRILLION and how they would like us to pay it back. It is scary what answers you get.

Deficit in July Totals $165.04 Billion

By JEFF BATER And DARRELL A. HUGHES
The U.S. government spent itself deeper into the red last month, paying nearly $20 billion in interest on debt and an additional $9.8 billion to help unemployed Americans.

Federal spending eclipsed revenue for the 22nd straight time, the Treasury Department said Wednesday. The $165.04 billion deficit, while a bit smaller than the $169.5 billion shortfall expected by economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires, was the second highest for the month on record. The highest was $180.68 billion in July 2009.

The government usually runs a deficit during July, which is the 10th month of the fiscal year. So far in fiscal 2010, the government spent $1.169 trillion more than it made. That figure is about $98 billion lower than during the comparable period a year earlier.

For all of fiscal 2009, the U.S. ran a record $1.42 trillion deficit. Fiscal 2010 might run a little higher

It's mind boggling how much longer China will let us stay in the drain pipe and not go all the way into the tank. I wonder if China will rename all of our National parks. also makes me wonder, if we have a total collapse, depression, inflation, hyper inflation, will the cops, gov and state workers, military keep working for funny money or will they go home to look out for their families? Especially if we get to where Germany was in the 1920s,a wheel barrel full of money for a loaf of bread ect. Maybe i'm just dreaming and China needs us to buy their cheap products as much as we need them to keep buying our worthless paper.

Look at what happened during Katrina. That was a crisis that people knew would get better and cops/firefighters/public employees stayed home to protect families.

it may be the young single cops with the shaved heads , wrap around sunglasses and a naturally bad attitude that will cause a lot of problems, better they stay home.
