The saddest thing, after the collapse, the same people that led to the collapse will be the ones demanding MORE government control would have prevented this... TRUE COMMUNISTS and they don't even know it...

Good article and a good reminder to continue to prepare. We live in a nation controlled by ignorant and arrogant fools and we are to the point that only civil war will put us back on track. I don't like that assessment but it's what I believe.

Good article, I hope it does not come to a civil war but we definately need to change the way government is thinking. When I look at the two presidential candidates, it scares the H out of me.

barib0, same here. No matter who is elected President I think we're in trouble. Our problems extend from the White House to Congress to legislating judges to state politicians, etc....all of these are corrupt. Our great constitution has been corrupted at every level. I foresee a bleak future, at least in the short run. Yeah, yeah....I know. I'm just a ray of sunshine! LOL

Did anyone see the mini-series 'Heartland' several years ago? What happened was that a Socialist was elected president and had the majority in Congress. It's about a small midwest community and their reactions/survival. Now, the changes were much more immediate and extreme as what we're seeing, but the path was pretty clear.

So it's what we have now. A statist in office who has effectively turned us into a democracy...not to be confused with a Democratic Republic which is what this country was founded as.
