The parents of Trayvon Martin came to the Bay area on Wednesday to take part in a town hall meeting focused on the controversial 'Stand Your Ground Law'.

Martin's parents were in Tampa for a town hall meeting held by the National Bar Association at the historic Beulah Baptist Church near downtown. The noon meeting was billed as 'Stand Your Ground for Justice'.
Hundreds attended the discussion, pushing for the repeal of the controversial Stand Your Ground Law and taking advantage of the chance to see Martin's parents in person.

Pastor W. James Favorite, Trayvon Martin's parents -- Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin -- and their attorneys attended the service, reminding Tampa area youth and the community of responsibilities during an emotionally charged time.

Back from daily activities and all I can say is WWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW! parents are supposedly saying "How bad could it have been, he didn't go get stiches?" but I expect them to feel one way about it.

Professor Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School stated upon release of the arrest affidavit that it was “so thin that it won’t make it past a judge on a second degree murder charge … everything in the affidavit is completely consistent with a defense of self-defense.”

After the release of the photo, however, Dershowitz went much further, telling Breitbart News that if the prosecutors did have the photo and didn’t mention it in the affidavit, that would constitute a “grave ethical violation,” since affidavits are supposed to contain “all relevant information.”

Dershowitz continued, “An affidavit that willfully misstates undisputed evidence known to the prosecution is not only unethical but borders on perjury because an affiant swears to tell not only the truth, but the whole truth, and suppressing an important part of the whole truth is a lie."

Most revealing in the hearing, though, was testimony by prosecution Investigator Dale Gilbreath, a surprise witness for the defense.

He admitted under oath that authorities do not know who started the fight between Zimmerman, a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, and Martin, the black 17-year-old whose death has spurred protests across the country.

I've followed some of this. It's telling when a liberal like Dershowitz make the statements he has. What's sad is that if the prosecution's case falls apart before the trial even starts the racial problems will escalate even more.

The recent Tulsa shooting has drawn "resist we much" Sharpton and "that's not my love child" Jackson to our state, specifically Oklahoma city where they want to tell us how violent we are and Jackson wants promote planned parenthood. Jackson needs to get his carcass back to Chicago, where there were over 150 injuries from shootings just in the first quarter of this year, and remind them of how violent they are.

1. he probably didn't need stiches head wounds are bleeders. doesn't take a big gash to get alot of blood going. also i have seen gashes that probably need 3-4 sticthes get closed up and held together with sutures.

Maywood, Ill. - Alton L. Hayes III, a west suburban man charged with a hate crime, told police he was so upset about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida that he beat up a white man early Tuesday.
Hayes and a 15-year-old Chicago boy walked up behind the 19-year-old man victim and pinned his arms to his side, police said. Hayes, 18, then picked up a large tree branch, pointed it at the man and said, “Empty your pockets, white boy.”

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who shot an unarmed teenager, was released from jail about midnight Sunday, two days after a Florida judge set his bond at $150,000.

I went to bed early last night (23:30) so I didn't see any live coverage or anything like that if there was any.
