  • City of Strays

I was reading an article in Rolling Stones today. Yep I know not the magazine most would have me pegged for but the reasons are for another day. It was talking about Detroit having 20,000 and up to 50,000(50K is probably to inflated) wild dogs now and the efforts to clean it up. The efforts which far exceeds rescue groups efforts, the police who can not shoot and are few and far between and way to strung out to respond to dogs and the laws against gun ownership and use within the city, being out of control. It discusses the attacks on people and mail carriers etc. It stated there were 90,000 abanded house many of which the dogs have taken over as residence and showed pictures.
I've been to a few places across the pond where dogs were an issue too. I know this has been discussed before but I thought the source interesting. Seems a few more .22s and traps might be needed.

    The other white meat

But that is really serious for all of the delivery people. A water gun filled with ammonia works somewhat.
In on of my favorite PAW fiction Alas Babylon, there is a great scene about all of the domestic animals and rat populations exploding afterward.
Yep some of the crap .22 for close range work.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

That city has really gone to the dogs..... yeah I know,,,, lame!

I did read that the average home in the Motor City is valued at $6000.00 Wow what a buy!! I know,, Lame again!

In our area we had deer infiltrating the city streets in a medium sized town, There was a bounty placed on them and the population was in check very rapidly.
The hunters were required to use Bows and Crossbows. I know some "Good Ole Boys" that would pay some decent money to go practice their primitive weapons skills!

Sounds like a business venture. Dog Days in Detroit!
