ill give you cliff notes from this weeks epsiode.

suburban family- husband ex-mil- i take it navy from his comments ,trophy wife( and she knows it, her name is pink), 5 kids, but they only show the 11yr old and the 30 yr old that helps dad prep. Guy builds a shelter in his garage so no one knows its there,,till now. Typical 5ft between homes type cookie cutter place.
They have some preps, but not good for their AO. They do a 15 mile bug out drill to a secondary means . A sailboat. with 2k lbs worth of supplies.
Wife is 100% on board, and has done some shooting or least follows the rules of handling weapons..( has good trigger ccontrol etc when she has a pistol when she Bugs out). Not to bad, but imho,, why stay in the cookie cutter mcMansionville when you have the funds to buy a place ( sell the dang boat, sell the 250K mcmansion etc)

couple #2- Ex-military, early 60's,late 50's i'd say. Live in a small 2K pop town in the mid west. he preps, and aint afraid to tell people. Has that " lights out" pull the town together deal. Thinks he can filter piss thru the PUR to have water...kinda red necky in his actions. Meets with the mayor, troopers etc onhow to better prep the town. Has the SKS D and some NBC gear and is ready to protect his neighbor hood.

family or say person #3, early 40's female. ex coastie, husband and teen. Husband and teen go along with her. She is the high heels in the PAW , get your nails done type and keep the hair looking good.... Later in her series they show she has a "store" for preps, pre made bug out bags, some sort of gravity drip system. It's all about H1N1( type A ) with her.Not very receptive to the "experts".. and i was shocked they didnt exactly plug her store like they have the last few "buisness" owners( this is why i said husband goes along with her...i got the impression it was a " ok honey,,here's your toy(her prep store) ..go play.." kinda set up). Didnt see any firearms...it was more comical than anything with her high heels. The experts told her to get better footware..her reply " ill take my chainsaw blade and cut em' down.ill be fine"

1st family was worth it, you could tell they have a plan and some was done for TV but thats to be expected. Everyone was on board, with what they were doing. A vibe you didnt see much on the earlier episodes with wife/families involved.
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

Them party favors will bring lots of folks in with that awesome OPSEC and the way he did that is dangerous and illegal so DO NOT try and follow this example. He did something wrong that most amatuers do when making these for this purpose.

I got a kick out of Mr. Wayne! He was a character and creative too. Making his own wine...and that was a great shelter he had.

I noticed that too, Matt. You can buy canned Mac-n-cheese, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, etc....for about 80 cents for a large can...cheaper than Purina.

                • OMG? They had some clown on there actually storing dog food for people?

I'm sure glad I haven't wasted an hour of my Tuesday nights in a long time....

FWIW, one of the fellows here from the forums was up at the NC Prepper seminar and we were discussing the NatGeo little "questionaire" that people were LINING UP to fill out. Questions included "how much food do you store and where do you store it? What makes you a unique prepper? Do you have a shelter?"

I think I grabbed one of the pages but I can't remember where I put it.

We stood there and looked at it, the other fellow said "do you believe people are actually filling these out?" Couple people around there gave us stupid looks upon hearing it.

I'm afraid a lot of these new folks just don't get it....

I question the wisdom of exposing themselves to TV viewers but I've enjoyed watching some of these folks. That couple in Utah has really gone all out helping others to learn how to prep, defend themselves, be more aware of what's happening around them, etc....We got a kick out of "Mr. Wayne" too. He's a very clever fellow with a quirky sense of humor. Another favorite is the spiderhole guy in northern CA.
