I had a shoulder issue that I brought up to my Family doctor he said if it doesn't clear up let me know...did that & he referred me to the Bone doctor who sent me to physical therapy for 1.5 months and fixed the issue. I had an Impingement in my left shoulder couldn't raise my arm up to the side of head, raising my arm straight out wouldn't make it all the way. I have seen too many relatives put off stuff and then have more problems later than if they would have been proactive. My DW is an RN so if I wanted any sympathy I need to be proactive :)

I've been nursing a bad shoulder for a couple of years now and only have recently gotten it looked at.

You're right, better to do things like this now than later.

I have probably injured my rotator cuff. I have nursed it along for a year or so. Clearly it isn't going to get better. I am really bad about putting off medical visits. Maybe as bad as a man! I didn't go to the doctor over my back until I had to ask DH to help me put my socks on. :( It was less than a month from the first doctor visit to my back surgery - it was that bad. So now I know I am probably looking at surgery again. I was thinking about getting it done during spring break.... but, I will need to be putting in the garden... or maybe during summer break... but, I need to work the garden! There really isn't a GOOD time to get it done... but I was thinking about it today and the fact is... if the ballon goes up, it won't ever get done. It will be a handicap for me and it will lessen what I can do for my family.

I guess my point is - we really need to take care of those medical issues NOW, while help is available.
Working...
