  • Subculture of Americans prepares for civilization's collapse

An article just came through the main stream media about us

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." - Thomas Jefferson

and yet they missed the mark on so many reasons for preparing. Even if there is no collapse there are still reasons that are plenty solid. The day after Y2K i wasnt going oh man and all that for nothing, and after the cold war i didnt go oh gosh wasted all my time, i just kept on just as i will if nothing falls apart. They day after the storms on several occasions i have gone, whew glad i had that and the day after I saved someones life with my training I have gone man i'm glad i could. It's a way of life some folks have just put a different name and twist on it. 10yrs from now it will be called something else and for a different reason if "it" doesnt happen. Life is full of choices, this one is mine

I don't understand why those people want to advertise to the whole world what they're doing? What happened to OPSEC? Why would anybody want to make themselves a target? Most preppers are very discreet about what they're doing, but not those people. Along the same vein, I have seen several threads saying, "Post pictures of your guns!" I just don't understand it. Do you?

              LOL!

One time the wife and I are joking around. She says something to the affect of "everyone has issues."

I said "damn woman, you ain't got issues, you got subscriptions."

She's a great gal, she got a good laugh out of it also. She's get me better than I get her half the time.
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

I don't know whether be be offended, since according to the Cathy Gutierrez, an EXPERT on end-times beliefs, I'm 'suffering and afraid'; or be amused that I'm being compare to hippies, who if I'm not mistaken went around with their hands out - begging.

Anyway a little research on the writer Jim Forsyth shows him to be the owner of a clear radio station and writer of numerous unrelated subjects. None of which is appears to be an expert in.

The so called expert - Cathy Gutierrez had several PhD.s all in assorted in religious studies. She even has her own blog. How she can claim to be an expert in end times beliefs is a mystery to me.

These two people think they know all they need to know about preppers. That's today's press for you, always question what you read in print!
