Leading City of London analyst says next 12 months will be one of 'pain and disappointment' if Chinese economy crashes

A looming hard landing in China will bring the financial and economic crisis of the past five years to a climax in 2012, one of the City of London's leading analysts has warned.

"For the first time in generations, many people no longer believe that their children will grow up to enjoy a higher standard of living than theirs"
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Seems that most serious economist, except those connected to the White House, have voiced the same opinion. It's hard to deny that most people see the economy as getting worse. Just going to the grocery store causes sticker shock. If the Iranians turn their rhetoric into action, fuel prices will go through the roof. Famine already exist in some 3rd world countries.

With economic turmoil comes violence. There are elements in our society who want to see American streets run with blood.

The entire process reminds me of dominos, tip over one and they all fall.

I'm hoping for my child to not grow up into dictatoral slavery or civil war... Higher standard has long ago flew out the window of opportunity...

Sorry I havn't posted in a long time. I just got back into town. I have been off grid for a couple months I Bought a piece of land way out of the way and have spent a lot of time getting it prepared. I could be wrong but I think that 2012 is going to be a rough year folks. I hope everyone the best and I will try to post more when I'm back in town on and off.

        Good Luck and Prepare.
When an emergency is upon you the time for preparation has past.

Look for the aerospace industry in the US to crater in the next six months. Layoffs will start soon and this will have a huge ripple effect throughout the economy. GB

I don't know if 2012 is the year or not. I hope it never comes, but I'm also not asleep. I do know that the dollar cannot continue at the rate it's going. It's common sense. It's time to buckle down, stop talking and actively prepare so you and your family can survive. Hopefully we'll all be able to look back ten years from now and laugh at 2012. Hope for the best, prepare for the very worst.

Maybe I'm thinking wrong, but isn't 2012 an election year? I don't think any economic crisis would happen this year. Next year or after, sure, that way one party can blame the other party. Now a terrorist event, sure, to rally everyone behind a candidate. Just my two clads' worth.

I am up in the air...the company I work for is setting records in sales/revenues and they are expecting sales/revenues to be up 10-20% in 2012. Our sales are an indicator of the market overall and helped us predict the downturn of 2008-2009 once they saw the drop they executed the plan they had in place in the event of a downturn which put us in a great position for 2010-11 and beyond.
