So my daughter had to read this book for school. As always, I read it first to ensure it wasnt typical of the schools systems (i.e. Christmas recital where "Imagine" is one of the songs sung.). Really good book. Not sure if this book was intended to be a mirror of whats coming our way, but it talks about a future society in America where it is split up into 13 districts based on the different things each district can bring to the table. For example, the main character was from the poorest district that supplied coal. Each District was a "slave" to the Capitol, whose population was living in excess. Great series, and I recommend this for any age group.
What I thought was interesting was the correlation between this story, and the Council of Governors Executive Order signed by oblama, and the establishment of the Fema Zones. Truly eerie the coincidence. Here is the links to the Executive order, and also the zones for Fema. Add into that the Jesse Ventura Fema Camp feature on Trutv and my tin foil hat is giving me a headache. Then do a search for ron paul and fema camp or H.R. 645 and you will see his understanding on the Fema Camps that nobody wants to admit are a reality.
Got my wife to read the hunger games. Then hit her with this info and her normalcy bias took a little bit of a hit. Movie comes out in march, but the books are really good.
