  • Who Are You Going To Vote For?

Well with the Iowa caucasus coming up and its looking like the people who control the republican party are going to foist Mitt Romney upon us.

I WILL NOT vote for Mitt .......... or Newt. So who does that leave?

I like Ron Paul but some of his foreign policy is nuts.

What about Rick Santorum? Anyone know anything about him? I like much of what he says but does he have a chance at nomination?

If Paul doesn't get the nomination (he won't) will he run as a 3rd party candidate? If he does he'll be like Ross Perot and pull enough votes from the republicans to give us another 4 years of a communist president.

Oh and what kind of name is MITT?? Or NEWT??

I suppose those names are no worse than obama or worse yet..... hussein.

I share the same thoughts as you. I just said most of this word for word last night.

And for some reason, I think Mitt is a closet Dem. He just looks the part.

Ron Paul to me seems like a crazy uncle.

So I hate to say it but that idiot is probably going to win the 2nd term. Or really it all depends on what the "real people in charge" want, Bilderburgs, Rothchilds, etc.
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Yeah right Ron Paul is nuts, all he wants to do is bring the troops home where they belong so they can spend their money here and prop up Americas economy instead of the economy in 130 other countries, he also wants to stop the foriegn aid where the Gov takes money from poor people here and gives it to rich people in foriegn countries. Open up the free trade markets again where a business can trade with anyone they want to without government intervention. Stay home and mind our own business and if we're ever attacked, we go to war legally thru Congress to win and after willing we come home, we don't spend our country into the poor house rebuilding them like we're doing in Iraq,Afgan. 17,000 civilians left on the payroll in Iraq and a few billion dollar embassies left in Iraq while our roads and bridges are falling down here..How can any tax paying American find anything wrong with that foriegn policy.

you people keep voting for the statis quo then cry for the next four yrs if we stay propped up that long, how long before you figure out that the statis quo got us here? Your boy Mitt and Newt have great plans, Mitt will void the Dream Act and Newt will let all the kids be janitors while all the time beating the war drums getting us into another war with Iran and you can believe Mitts sons will not be going, your sons will be going. Has anyone noticed that neither have mentioned the Patroit Act or the new Defence Bill which has took away all peoples rights, we've actually become a police state and no one is paying attention

Don't like Mitt or Newt. Had someone that I really respect tell me that when a man gets married, he takes the ultimate oath of trust. A man that cheats on his wife will not think twice about putting the screws to you. He has no conscience. The guy that told me this will not let a man serve in his unit if he knows him to be an adulterer.

I guess I am pulling for Perry. I can at least see what he has done for Texas. I

If RP is not on the ticket, I and thousands if not millions are voting for Obama anyway, why change captions on a sinking ship with another controlled lap dog?

I would rather be casting my vote to be voting for someone I believed in, unfortunately, I think it will end up being a vote for anyone but "O". Out of the current top three (Romney, Paul and Santorum), I like Santorum the best. As others have said, I am not convinced that Romney is a true conservative given his past record; as for Paul, I like some of his positions, but am not too sure about his foreign policy position; and for Santorum, so far I have agreed with everything I have heard him say.

It really makes me sad that the group of "front runners" is the best conservative America has to offer. Of the but, I like RP the best, but I question if he is electable.

I will vote for whoever is chosen as the Republican nominee. America cannot afford another term of Obama's Marxist agenda. Because he would be unable to run for a third term, Obama would quickly unleash every executive order, backroom deal, and unalterable foreign policy he could manage.

Look at it this way: even if your personal favorite is not chosen this time, by voting for the selected Republican nominee at least there is an opportunity to redirect the country. Staying at home, not voting, will help to reelect Obama because, believe me, the Democrats are going to be scraping the barrel to get out every vote, legal or illegal. There is not going to be a second chance. So VOTE. VOTE as if your life and the future of your country depends upon it.

Discussing is fine, but sometimes these "discussions" turn into quite a mess when it starts getting personal. Just don't want it to slide into the aforementioned mess.

And not discussing sports? How could they! lol (tension breaker)

For the record, frankly I'm not sure which candidate is going to be best. I personally liked the idea of the Herman Cain as a Washington outsider and his tax plans seemed to be on a good track, but that didn't happen. It might have been nice to have someone in Washington that isn't already in the septic system there.

I like some of Ron Paul's ideas, specifically for limited government and budgeting, but his foreign policy kills it for me. There are some things we should be doing and isolationism just hasn't worked out the best for our country in the past. There are times when we do need to be proactive.

Not sure about Romney yet...haven't seen a whole lot that's impressed me thus far. I'll keep an eye on him

Don't trust Gingrich as far as I could throw him. And I have no reliable basis for that judgment except I just get a funny feeling I should be putting one hand over my crotch and the other on my wallet when I hear him speak.

Huntsman doesn't impress me in the least and I have no idea why he's still hanging on. He isn't saying anything new nor anything impressive.

Santorum is worth exploring, good fiscal views when it comes to social security, but I don't know much about the rest of him.

Michelle Bachmann has some great ideas and frankly deserves a shot. However, the press has already made up their minds to destroy her and if she goes to front runner status, they will do everything within their power to make her look like a raving lunatic. Probably my second overall pick.

And Rick Perry...my favorite of them all. Good conservative views, an outsider to Washington politics, sound tax policy and social security reform. Love his environmental issues as well as those on crime. He has a way to go on immigration, but I think he's somewhat on the right track and gives good reasoning for his policies. But...

Again, the press will destroy him and start to compare him to Bush 43. They've already started. So what if the man can't speak well? Or has a momentary lapse of what he was thinking? Who cares if his property had some markings from ages ago that had been removed? Everyone has skeletons in thier closets. And frankly, those in glass houses...

Anyway, my ideal ticket would be Perry/Bachmann. Never happen, but it would be nice.

But overall, this is all academic. No matter who receives the nomination, the ultra left wing press will set out to destroy them and keep the "chosen one" in office. Each and every front runner or up and coming candidate has been viciously attacked by the press as soon as they show signs of making forward progress. And this will continue on until election day so they can keep Obama in office.

So no matter who receives the nomination, the press will set out to destroy them. They will dig up every little item, misreport it, put misleading information in the articles and blow it out of proportion in order to inflame the public against the candidate. They are dead set on keeping the current occupant in office and will do everything they possibly can to destroy anyone who challenges him.
Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.
