2012 "predictions" thread

[Long Shot]

Everything is in God's hands and I'm not going to sweat the small stuff. I will continue to prepare for whatever may or may not come. I still have a job, a roof over my head, and the health of myself and my family. What more could I ask for?

My biggest worry in the election is we have a third party split the republican vote and Obama is re-elected.

One thing I forgot to include in my response was that Obama will drop Biden from the ticket and run Hillary Clinton as his VP. He will do this in order to assure another four years in the WH. His ego may be the only thing that keeps him from doing this. HIs handlers currently are pushing for just such a move. Giving Biden the Secretary of State post. This action brings Bill Clinton into the picture to campaign for him. again his ego may get in the way. GB

2. short term dollar strength, perhaps throughout 2012 (buying opportunity for PMs)
3. civil war or at least widespread, organized sectarian/ethnic conflict in iraq (semantics as to the difference)

6. Romney elected (my 2013 predictions will likely be pessimistic about his administration)
7. Repubs control both houses of Congress, but without filibuster-proof senate. In 2013+, major change/reversion/repeals unlikley without whitehouse leadership, but see #6
8. Many more americans identify themselves as small-L libertarians by year end than ever before
9. severe economic problems in China, Japan
10. Gun sales continue to grow; esp. among first-time gunowners
11. Prepping more mainstream, discussion possible in polite compnay (but never forget OPSEC!)
12. No rapture
13. No mayan apocolypse

1. I look for small gains in our economy in the first half of 2012
2. Around mid year, I look for a huge increase in oil that will stifle the gains made in the early years, and cause first Greece, then the rest of Europe to fail.
3. When the Euro fails, it will drag the rest of the world down. Those countries that are barely hanging on, will collapse.
4. China will begin to call in it's markers. The U.S. economy will collapse.
5. End of summer or early fall there will be a major Red Flag event which prompts martial law declared in the country and the elections postponed indefinatly.
6. By the end of 2012, the country will be on the brink of civil war, because of the tyrannical Executive orders, and unconstitutional laws created by the government to try and maintain their power.
7. All over the world wars and fighting will break out.

And I thought I had a bad out look! And I think your right (time frame may get extented a little but that is the direction the world and the US is going)

2. Gov't continues to report low inflation as food and fuel prices skyrocket.
3. We lose even more rights and freedom as the criminals in congress continue to tighten thier hold on our throats, all the time telling us it's to keep us safe.
4. More govt debt, stimulus, and lies.
5. Great Depression 2 looms on the horizon.

i agree with all of this except obama wins , romeny wins and is not much better then obama . i think our economy is doomed to much debt , to much unemployment ,to many people who expect a free ride

obama wins again
cost of consumberables rises 15%
cost of gasoline unl back to 4/gallon
continued laws restricting our liberties and
violating Constitution.
additonal people can't get medical care for free
add'l muslim attacks around the world
add'l u.s. debt. of about 2 trillion
i find a way to get cheaper electricity.
i plant a bigger garden.
u.s. continues to turn our back on Israel
abortion rate increases.
homosexuals get added protections in the law
u.s. continues to push the homo lifestyle around the world
iran will wait one year for their big attack. they will want obama in the WH

I predict I will kill a Giant Saber Toothed Man Eating 14 point Buck this year! I predict that alot of folks wil find out that a skinny little mayan got a girlfriend and quit work to shack up before going off to war with his tribe. I predict that i will stash a few bucks back to buy some craiglist, end of world, supplies real cheap after the next new year.
