This is a good week for........
Inventory and gear checking.
Even though I always do a thorough check before each backpacking or camping or even hiking trip. This is as good a time as any to do a gear check.
For instance:
With me being off today I cleaned the .40 and the 12 gauge.
I took the Katadyn Hiker Pro apart and lubed the O-Ring.
I have taken all BOB's and GMHB's and Camping Gear out and checked.
Checked First Aid, Checked knives, Checked paracord,etc.
Checked the tents, the bags, even the food that I keep in the packs.
Check your first starters, make sure your lighters light, sparkers spark,
Check your flashlights and headlamps.
This is just a small chunk of what I have checked today. Also, made a game out of it with my 4 year old. I can not WAIT until I can take him into the woods.
