Another reason to be prepared for all types of SHTF situations....the History Channel did a pretty neat show on this...in fact I used it to help get someone going towards prepping. Still working with them.

The french girl is what threw me off. That is the movie that I was thinking of.

The news just had a piece about this. It would wipe out 60% of the population if it got out. They're asking the scientists to forget it and destroy the notes and all. Now the terroists know it can be made they will most likely try now....great Don't the zombie movies start out this way?????

Sahara, Contagion . . . etc are absolutely terrible movies. All most all, the 'science' is hollywood. The real truth is a lot scarier.

The avian flu virus that everyone is talking about didn't mutate on its own it was "engineered" in a lab in the Netherlands.

The scary part is that it was engineered to be airbourne which the regular avian virus isn't.

The scientist/biologist that came up with the virus wants to publish his paper on it but other scientists are concerned that terrorists will use the paper as a how to book.

Personally I think the scientist who did this should be jailed.

Well the what about the company or government that payed for it to be done? Scientist are just like everyone else they get payed for their work, no one is talking about who "commisioned" the study? What was the true purpose of the having it done?

Did they really want it to work so that it could be leaked/lost/stolen or copied by someone with bad intent?
