OMG that would piss me off so much DIM TIM.
But as he panned his camera around, it looks like he has a pretty good setup of supplies in his garage/shed. :)
OPSEC, its a beeeotch, granted not enough was exposed in the video, but if someone new him(subscribed) and if he has many videos up with the willy nilly spinning of the camera like that, he might leak out just enough intel...

Gotta be careful with those camera angles everybody. :)

Yep, I agree. Too bad he lost 7 qt. But better to find out when he did, then to be in the middle of TEOTWAWKI.

BTW...smaller cans for dispensing would be a pretty good thing in a way, but I've thought about this a little, and figure that a 5 gal. can would be best for larger amounts, and the transfer of oil to your lamps and lanterns could be best done with one of those siphon, hand pumps that are usually sold with kerosene cans and heaters for transfering kerosene from the can to the heater's tank.
I'm pretty sure that all lamps and lanters burn both, but just to be safe, I'd mark a siphon for lamp oil only as well as the can I was storing the oil in. Sure will be glad when the fuel in my zippo is gone so I can do that alcohol test. I'm really getting curious about that one for sure. If it works, then I have another post that I'll be doing on one of the other forum pages soon. I also just thought of another item that would be rather handy for this test that I'm going to do, and if it works, would be a rather handy thing to keep around for fueling zippo lighters with fuels other than lighter fluid, so keep watching for my posts...this could get rather interesting.

Ok, I wanted to get in here a couple of days ago, but just couldn't get in. The fuel finally ran dry, so I could use some alcohol. I used 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol, because thats what I had handy.
It does work. The flame isn't all that, but it does work. Also, the amount of alcohol I used was about a shot glass full...give or take a little. I tried the lighter each morning after getting up, and it has lasted three days now, but it wanted to go out a few seconds after lighting this morning. I just tried it again, and can still get a small flame, but just barely. So I'll let it go one more day, and try again.

        ZIPPOS.....gotta love em'.

Alcohol was not to be had in my Zippo yesterday, so I refilled it with lighter fluid. Got a heads up from another prepper on a different forum about different fuels and their abilities, and didn't even worry about trying the lamp oil test from information from their post.

Just glad that kerosene, gasoline, and lighter fluid were the top three headliners. That's good enough for me. I should be able to keep enough of all three available when TSHTF to keep my lighter fueled for a LONG TIME.
