I posted this in the members forum but the link has been zapped. You can find it elsewhere though.

I am really hoping this is some exaggeration, if this is so, then we are really in for some hard times

i really dont like the fact that every single link i can find including the website itself, wont pull up the story. i tested the link myself and it worked fine, then 10 minutes later it was down.

I can't believe they are looking into the homeowner with some rice and beans, They're probably looking militant groups that have bought a semi loads of storage food and have tents set up out in the woods.

Please let this rest. It is a rumor not the truth. I talked to three different LDS facilities today. I am not LDS but they let us use their canning facilities. For one thing they do not keep lists of "Customer" since they do not sell food. you bring your own food and use their equipment to can it.

Mark this up as another rumor that got a life of its own.

i don't know if true or not. but i do think i saw an exec. order that gave them perm to take what you have.
i need to get some extra food.
                    true or not..

???did you speak to the facility in question??? and in the article it even says they did not keep records and that the feds got no info. even if it is a bad rumor, ALL rumors are born of truth. there is always something to be gleamed by them. it is unwise to just blindly turn your eyes from something and say"nothing to see here, go on about your business." in essence that is what you are asking us to do. i'm not saying this is 100% positively the gospil of truth, i am saying that it meritts being watched, monitored, and paid attention to.

I wish we had a "BS" flag like ARFCOM had/has... This is like saying the Feds came in and demanded the member roster of the whole church... Illegal on many fronts, and BS I call...
