  • Americans can now be "detained" indefinitely!?!?!?

The Senate passed a bill today allowing indefinite detention of American citizens living within the U.S.

While some have claimed that this is incorrect, and that American citizens would be exempted from the indefinite detention within U.S. borders authorized by the Act, the Committee chairman who co-sponsored the bill

Yes... Those who receive Orders must decide now (with a clear head) what type of orders they are willing to follow (they must remember their Oath to up hold the constitution).

I also think it is important for them to start talking with their peers/co-workers about it. “Group Think” can be a big problem or a great thing. In World War II you can find stories of units doing great things under extreme distress and one of the common parts in many of those stories, is guy A kept going because guy B was still going and Guy B was going because Guy A was... So they supported each other through bad, bad conditions to achieve great things. "Group think" is usually pointed out as being bad (which it can be) but if thought and discussion preceded the problem it can also be a great thing.

If you get the others on board with you, number one someone in your "group" is less likely to turn on you over NOT following an "illegal order". And number two once those orders start following down hill the entire unit might group together on the side of the American people**. That is one reason I think stuff like OathKeepers.org is so important, get LEO and Mil to start thinking what they will and more importantly what they will NOT do.

**FYI I do not believe American is a Nationality (I know many people born here that I feel are NOT American and I know many immigrants that I feel are American) American to me is a MINDSET. So by "on the side of the American people" I mean supporting "Free People" and the Constitution.

Did you see the youtube videos of the national guard in Katrina? Soldiers outright saying they dont like to shoot at Americans that dont want to give up their guns, but they will because that have orders...

Every Soldier in that chain of command should have been relieved and every Soldier thrown in jail for these actions.

A Soldier ALL SOLDIERS are obligated to defend the constitution and when a direct order violates that constitution it is not a valid order and a Soldier is REQUIRED to disobey it... Or did something change since the day I wore the salad suit?

@Not Yet; funny thing about that name American, by definition Mexicans are Americans, Canadians are Americans, Hell everybody from North AMERICA, Central AMERICA, and South AMERICA could technically be called Americans. We are technically United Statians (but once again our ignorance or arrogance stuck us with thinking the title American can and should be reserved for members of a small portion of the Americas...

                  **sigh**

oh well, I am proud to claim I am a PATRIOT, and willingly signed the line and put my Country before my life for over 22 years...

Klayton, you need to check on that. Under that bill, if you store more than 7 days worth of food, you can be classified as a terrorist. See, you thought you were a prepper, didn't you? Also, if you're missing fingers, own more than x number of guns, or own certain types of guns, or a whole bunch of other stuff, you can be classified as a terrorist, shipped off to Guantanamo, denied due process, and forget about having a lawyer. Oh, yeah, you no longer have the right to remain silent either. Can you hear the disgust dripping here? I spent 12 years in the military, and this is the result????

Wait, this is the same bill? the 7 days of food and indefinite detainment? Oh not so good. BTW, the 7 days of food makes pretty much EVERYBODY a terrorist, atleast all my buddies, we get paid every 2 weeks and payday you buy enough food for the fridge to last until next payday, so thats 14 days of food (super terrorrists?)..

And don't forget "waterproof ammunition". I violate that with just my stash of 8mm Mauser....

Still have all my fingers, though.
