Either Monday or Tuesday the Senate will vote on a bill that allows the US military toimprison civilians with no formal charges and hold them with no trial.

TheACLU reports even UScitizens wouldn't be immune as the legislation aims to declare nationalterritory part of the "battlefield" in the War on Terror.

Termedthe National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and draftedbehind closed doors by Senators Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain(R-Ariz.) theNDAA would:

1) Explicitly authorize the federal government to indefinitely imprisonwithout charge or trial American citizens and others picked up inside andoutside the United States;

(2) Mandate military detention of some civilians who would otherwise beoutside of military control, including civilians picked up within the UnitedStates itself; and

(3) Transfer to the Department of Defensecore prosecutorial, investigative, law enforcement, penal, and custodialauthority and responsibility now held by the Department of Justice.

Remember the so called "Patriot Act" says they can kill (without question) american citizens if they were found on the battle field.... Now the Battle Field is going to here at home... I assume that the law does not repeal any of the old authority... So that means they could deam me (or you) a threat/terroriest and kill me (or you) because it is the "War on Terror" it is OK.

What does he do if it comes back for the secound time around (and the media is not following so closely)?

It sounds like to me that it is setting presidence to circumvent the judicial branch of the government. The prez is already trying to bypass the legislative branch by writting his own laws as needed. If you can bypass the checks and balances of the judicial and legislative branches, it only leaves the executive branch to rule everything...Obummer. Thin foil hat off.

Something is definitely up. So we have Russia and China warning our Govt to back off of the middle east (which we should) or there just might(most likely) be a war. So this little gem of a bill comes along to drag us to never never land and do what ever to us. If you ask me if this bill passes something WILL happen here in the states and all over the state paid media will be just praising how great it is now that this got passed because now it will keep us safe. They are just setting us up for something.
