Sir,
At the link you gave JRH has 'ECW Polyproplyene Underwear'. Do you know if these are anything like the Body Armore brand under garments? I have recently purchased another shirt from a sports store and it was almost $40.00. Kinda high for my liking
A desire changes nothing, a decision changes some thing's, but determination changes everything.

Lemme jump in here brother on the underwear. They are heavier than the stuff you bought most likely. They are worth every dime BUT it needs to be COLD like really cold. I had numerous sets from the Military and me and a buddy went hunting one day and it sleeted and rained on us. We went back in at lunch and he was shivering and had to strip all the way down and dry everything. The polypros kept me dry and warm. Now they aint waterproof but resistant and kept the body heat flowing to help dry the material. My buddy swears by them now. Also if you are walking/moving alot I suggest powdering. It's not a heavy bad chaff but a light irritating one especially if you get active enought to sweat. They last many years and will be worth it. Thats my 1/8th of a pre 65 dime!

You have to watch out for some of the sales out there. In one case I found a CDV 717 meter in so called Brand New condition. It was half price of most units like it. Problem is it was not calibrated and that makes it worthless other than as a decoration. Buy from people you know and trust. I am trying to pull together enough money to buy another Katadyn Pocket Filter. the price right now is too good. GB
You can get it calibrated for under 100 from http://www.radmeters4u.com/calibrate.htm. If you go on Ebay most times they run specials real cheap. We did both of ours for under 150. They work on most brands. Takes about a week. Hope this can help you.
Didn't find much "survival" bargains I could afford (would have LOVED to have the $$$ for JRH night-vision & seismic stuff), but I did find some "dual use" stuff... Almost all of it was bought ONLINE and never stepped foot in a store until Friday just before noon...
Great deals on: Mini-Maglight LED AA flashlights, waterproof winter jacket for me (black/gray), waterproof winter boots for wife & daughter, camping/backpacking goodies, another ENO double-hammock with dry fly, and then some non-survival stuff, but still prep-based, like a Makita 18v circular saw, saw blades, misc. tool items...
No cheap Aimpoints to be found... Bummer! All in all, happy with my finds and the savings...
