  • It's the weekend, what's your project?

So the weekend has rolled around again. What projects do you have planned for the weekend?

It hit me this afternoon- it's Friday again and I don't have anything planned for a project!

When you live so far out and a trip to Lowes eats up most of the afternoon, it's best to plan ahead LOL.

For me I have planned- PM'ing the batteries in our system, building some small shelves for a hallway that's cluttered like crazy, train a little bit (HTH), and clean the jacuzzi which has been unused for more than a year and has become a little house of horrors (scary stuff), inside work includes messing around more with the video formatting and editing software to try to get a decent quality video to load to youtube that doesn't eat up a day's worth of computer and internet

What's your project(s) for the weekend?
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

We have 2 beehives. Taking one from its current location and moving it back with the other. Took honey a couple of weeks ago, will do it again in Sept. They sure were ticked...

Will go watch my Goddaughter (5 years old) "compete" in a swim meet. She asked me personally to come watch her win. How do you say no to that? After that I will help my son learn a little about mechanic-ing on his Jeep Comanche. Also going to try and get some bags of food and more buckets and maybe have time to pack them. Of course the other normal stuff...mow, clean, wash, etc. And of course, we have a full weekend at my other business, so will have to be there some as well. My weekends are usually "full", but I was able to get to range with my wife and son and have a little fun ;-)) last weekend.

i've been digging out a new storeroom in the crawlspace. 300 +square feet. costing more than i budgeted. but, it will be well insulated. using dirt to help keep the temp moderate. 2 x 6 framed walls and part concrete block. house was built on sand so adding extra support and walls
        to reinforce the house structure.
this weekend. insulating, interior walls and building shelves.
we are both pack rats and needing some extra storage space!

This weekend's out for projects, but next week it's back to organizing my cabinets while school's still out and I have the time. I've been really needing to get my home canned goods more organized. Maybe some more canning if time permits. When the fruits gone, it's gone 'til next year and I've been putting it off.
          You know, girl stuff. :)

advertize for them in your local papers, i bought over 90 dozen for less tham 2 dollars a doz. there are many wives or husbands whoes mate has passed on and their kids don't want to be bothered with canning jars, they want to get rid of them, but they don't want to carry them out of the basement for weekend tag sales and boxes are usually a problem so they're usually happy to have someone buy them all and carry them out.

Well, the 7th day (Saturday) is a Shabbat (Sabbath) for me, so I'm resting and reading posts here... Taking it easy... May do a family hike later today. Tomorrow though, I have lots to do... But I think I will be cleaning and organizing the workshop and maybe crawling under the house into the crawlspace to see if any of my AC ducts are leaking as it feels a bit too cool under there... Other than that, we'll see...

Back to working on plumbing leaks under the kitchen sink at our rental house. Then later go listen to the Old Time Fiddlers, after swimming with the dogs at the local lake. Life Is Good.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?
