The thing people like us can't wrap our heads around is that we are going to have to be more ruthless than people like this WILL be.

You are going to have to kill and do some very heinous things. You are going to have to be able to make decisions quickly and act decisively. You must be willing and ready physically, spiritually and mentally to fight to the last ounce of breathe.

Just walking out with a shotgun and playing the "show of force" game isn't going to do anything with the hardcore types.

You are not going to have the option of tapping out.... don't give it to them either.

Not sure if many of you watch NutNfancy's youtube site but he has done a video or two on Sense of Community where in a WROL setting the best thing to have is good neighbors... Set up security patrols and check pionts for your neighborhood or community.

And in "One Second After" the community was the defense not a single home/family the whole community has to ack like a community and fight together against looters.

A couple things are for sure-

If this sort of thing happens.....

*No one is going to be glad they spent those couple hours at work instead of training.
*No one is going to be glad they skimped on gear.
*No one is going to be happy that they kept that rifle around that kept malfunctioning on them.
*No one is going to be glad that they did NOT make an effort to meet other like minded people and make an effort to group up.
*No one is going to be glad they sat on their arses too much and are now short of breathe, can't get a good shot off because they are out of shape and can't control their breathing.
*No one is going to be glad they didn't push themselves in training.

            People will-

*Lament not putting more effort into training.
*Realize that a little bit of training is no where near what they actually NEEDED.
*Realize that compromises in lifestyle, compromises in family structure, compromises in health, compromises in training will now KILL them and their family.
*Realize that just getting together with "some guy with a gun" isn't anything near what they need to survive.
*Realize that just having a gun and trying to look mean is no where near enough.

Add pistol and shotguns too. I'm so tired of hearing it's a 45 and then watching it jam and seeing "I have all the cool contractor gear" and the russian shotgun then watching it jam and then watching the rifle you name the type with all the "names" hanging on it and then it jams. As a line officer who loves to SHOOT not clear your junk no matter how much you sank into it or what cool points your coffe shop commando never left the state buddies gave you, it SUCKS, ok get it thru your head, it's 100 yrs old or it just doesnt friggen work. If it dont work with semi wadcutters then quit tryin to make pretty holes and use ammo that works too.
breathe, deep breathes, puppies, chocolate, tight groups, ok i'm good, exit soap box

                  Despair is a powerful de-motivator.

                  So is delusion.

Combine despair, delusion, an attitude of purchasing rather than doing or training, the near non existent mindset and situational awareness, mis-education, willful ignorance, a profound disconnect with their body, addiction, decades long patterns of furthering isolation, entitlement and sheer dependency and you have a recipe for inaction, succumbing to inaction or extremely poor action (that often borders on fantasy) .

                  And I was describing preppers.
