Read somewhere on the net today (sorry, lost the site with the link) that back in 1811 there were several "small quakes" in your neck of the prairie before the New Madrid went KABOOM! I hope that is not the case but it makes ya wonder.

Actually they did. 2 fold plan on weather or not the structure was suitable for habitation. My daughter came down lickety-split declaring that it wasn't them this time it was another earthquake!
