Imagine this happening all over the country. Its a signal to criminals that its safe to commit crimes.

Last night they were back peddling on that statement , I think it was made to get a little more money in their budget right before the election . The media caught whiff of it and it became a big story drawing way to much attention so now they are running damage control . That force had all new chargers in it fleet so if anything the money is mismanaged .

When I was stationed in Maryland I caught NUMEROUS police officers, off duty and in their FAMILY car filling it up at the local police filling station. This was usually around 3 or 4 am when I was getting off work at my second job. When I reported it I was told they were allowed to as long as they use the vehicle for official use at least once a month. WHO THE HELL CAME UP WITH THAT SCAM ON THE TAXPAYERS? Again, IMHO police are an unfortunate needed public servant, so we have to pretty much have to look the other way at the sheer corruptness of most police departments...
