So who is next, Syria or Iran? You have to put the pawns in place before you go after the king. So much for a chunk of our troops coming home over the next 2 months......

Call me a Conspiracy Theorist but I believe this is not only to flex to the "bad guys" but to be ready for what is going down next year

    Military folks your thoughts?
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

The media is already Hyping Iran and Drug Cartel links as an excuse for either backing Israel in an attack on Iran or ourselves fighting Iran not sure which it will be.

    Talking about Conspiracy Theories...
Are we not getting ready for big brother to do the first Nation Wide "Test of the Emergency Broadcast System"?
We have had the system for years but I believe it has been managed locally or regionally but now apparently it is going to managed nationally..??

Does this not bother our population?

As long as the general population gets their reality shows and American Idol they will be happy. They have still got their heads in the sand or up somewhere the sun doesn't shine. Plus, they believe what the govenment tells them and what they want to hear. They do not think for themselves anymore.

Glad to see all this change the young senator wanted to make when he made it to the top. LOL
I'm not sure what to make of it all just yet. We are still spread thin and equip is wearing out and folks are tired

No different than what we were doing in the 90s more or less. Everything was in Kuwait and Saudi back then and it looks to be what we are doing now.

We've reopened a base in Kuwait that was closed (al-Jaber) and probably pumped up the numbers in Camps Virginia, Buehring, Arifjan and New York. Probably steady state for the rest of the Gulf States.

Even with the draw down from Iraq I kinda figured we weren't really going anywhere. Maybe a few thousand less troops, but we will still have a significant amount of forces in the region. I'll keep the rest of my thoughts to myself.
