  • The Weather of 2011

The Weather Channel and weather.com provide a national and local weather forecast for cities, as well as weather radar, report and hurricane coverage

I just read this article and it blew me away. Luckily the only thing I personally experience was the tornados hit 3 miles south of us and 15 miles north of us...and these 2 areas are STILL RECOVERING! My son is 3 and knows what a tornado is from A.) The Bath tub drain and B.) when we ride through these areas...he calls em "Tornado Trees"

I know that some of you on the forum experienced some of this in your regions and I will tell ya, you can have all the widgets and kibble in the world but one of these can take all those years of preparation and vanquish it. But, this is why we prep, so we aren't the 99% of people that dont even have a battery for their flashlight (like GB's post from blackout)

I know that not only by having our gear and supplies but having the damn knowledge, calm demeanor and outright luck will get you "through the storm".

And for the twist, imagine weather like this in a grid down scenario...........makes ya wonder..

And The Japan and Turkey quakes can be grouped with this...........I am not a tree huggin parent nipple takin hippie, but MOTHER NATURE SEEMS PISSED!

Alot of things can play into the tornadoes. We have had them ever since I was a kid in the same areas and many yrs before that. What we didnt have was the "home of the 5 acre dreams". In other words there has been a huge boom over the years of 5 acre (give or take) homes that have popped up and it now gives the tornandoes something to slam. About every 5 yrs or so we get a huge outbreak in may and this yr we had like 48 that day in may.
48 in a day and yet the sheeple still wont wake up, it's just the gene pool trying to cleanse itself I think sometimes
