This nation is broke!! I am not sure that it is not currently by design. I think that the Progressives have intention to fundamentally change our Republic, and that this will be accomplished through a disregard for the Constitution, with a simultaneous push on racial tensions. We are being set up. I had hoped that the judicial arm was still somehow concerned with Constitutional authority. This decision demonstrates that they are also in the pocket of the current leftist agenda. Political correctness and social pacification again trumps Law.

It ain't over yet. Not in AZ, not in DC. There are appeals to be heard and please don't forget that Sheriff Arpaio is on hand, at least in the state's most populated county. The clowns that took this law to court will have to answer for their temerity and that reckoning will be soon (by which I mean in November at the voting booth).

Also, just what do you think would happen to this recent ruling on appeal? I don't know law, so I can't comment on whether precedents and procedures and all that preclude this case making it to the Supreme Court... But what do you think would happen there? The same 5-4 majority that gave us Heller and McDonald would probably (probably, not certainly) render another turn towards constitutionalism.

My point is this: be upset by the naked failure of Judge Bolton to discharge her duty in a manner compliant with her oath to defend the Constitution (isn't that what this gets down to, anyway?), but don't get upset to the point of despair. I just want to clarify what 'progressive' means here. I consider myself a progressive. I think right wing media AND left wing media have been trying to blur the line between progressive and liberal. As a progressive, I hate big government because I love personal liberty. Liberals love big government. As a progressive, I believe in the 2nd ammendment because of big government. Liberals want to take away the right to have guns. Many who are liberal democrats love using the word progressive because it is the new buzz word. I would encourage the conservative members of this forum to view true progressives as left wing libertarians.

I am new here and write this post with the utmost respect for my fellow members. I am true to myself and freely tell you that politically, I am socially liberal, fiscally conservative, hate big government, but have little faith in big corporations either. Have the greatest respect for our constitution and personal freedom. That is my definition of what it means for me to call myself progressive. I believe the greatest threat to this country is the propaganda that pushes the liberal/conservative divide. The left/right paradigm is false and is meant to keep neighbors from creating community. Who would not agree that a nation divided cannot stand? Our government, both republican and democrat do not have our best interests at heart.

I hope there's room for someone like me on the forum.
