In the short term Obama is just using this as another distraction but this type of action by the United States and other Western nations is the problem!!

Liberals and Neo-cons never will understand that Western and specifically American values have no direct application in other cultures. It is time to stop mettling in other non-Western nations and let those cultures to their own affairs, they will not change ever, it will never happen!! Trading of goods and diplomatic relations is ok to a point, but these types of operations are a problem. Another case is when organizations like the Peace Corps send eager recruits in attempt to change the ways of the natives and then get kiddnapped and tortured!

We have our own share of Problems in the West, we do not need to intervene and use the U.S military to act as a security service for securing natural resources in the third world!!

So in short, no more rice, money, weapons, nurses, etc etc.. Same thing in Asia, the Islamic World, and Africa.

But, you got 100 of our best vs a WHOLE DAMN COUNTRY!!! Why cant we push the red blinking button and put these folks out of their misery......sorry I am cruel...

If we just focused on us and our problems and our resources we would once again be THE self reliant nation of the world that we once were. Why do we think we need something other than what we have right here in our backyard?

We need to let Americans (a mindset not nationality) be FREE to use their Hard Working, Smart, Innovative, Individuals to do what we DO... PROSPURE! And we can (and have in the past) do that while helping others… Instead of at the expense of others.

I like the military style way of thinking. No fairy tales, just facts. And Geo Washington was right about us minding our own business and avoiding 'foreign entanglements'. BUT unfortunately the fuzzy minded politicos cant/dont want to/dont know how to fix what ails us internally as a nation, so they switch to messing with somebody else to convince the voters (and themselves) that they are accomplishing something good in this world. It is laughable what they choose to mess with, isnt it? Or it would be if lives weren't at stake. Shutting mouth now.
