Perhaps I'm being over dramatic, but usually I'm a 'down to earth' sort of person. I've been watching the sit in on Wall Street. First reports were of a small group of people with absolutely no clear concept of what they wanted. Then the news media kept PROMOTING it. Now, the protests have become more radical and violent. No one is still certain what they want.

The protesters, regardless of their political views, are very angry. One has to wonder whose paying for the food and cigarettes and drinks the crowd in enjoying while they do nothing but cause trouble. I guess it's their capitalist parents or the government welfare system.

I firmly believe in protests. I've protested 3 times over the past 3 years. The group I protested with were angry also. However, my protests were legal, orderly and paid for by hard work. In fact, at lot of my fellow protesters had to go to work the Monday after.

My point is that regardless of your political position, people are "mad as H*** and not going to take it anymore." Everywhere you look, discord and anger. The rhetoric is so vial, the content so full of hatred. it makes my gut clinch, because it reminds me of a society coming apart at the seams.

I cannot see how we are going to escape the approaching turmoil. Europe will go bankrupt very soon, the U.S. is not far behind, food prices are rising exponentially, states are fighting over water rights, the middle east self destructing, and Israel is surrounded.

God help us all.

ive had the thoughts that these protests might have been set up and are being fueled by the wrong people. Lots of these protestors ive seen interviewed havent the slightest clue of why they are there. Could it be that this tactic will be used for spreading the protest to other cities/parts of the country to give the mighty Obummer the right to declare martial law in the spring? Then it being election year,he could suspend elections..the govener of North Carolina (D) already let the cat out of the bag on this... This would keep Obummer @1600 Pennsylvania Av indefinatly,kinda sounds like u know who in Germany in the 30's to me eh? Pure and Plain dictator,any way you slice it,it still has a bad smell to me..

Since these people have been there for longer than a weekend, I have to figure that they don't have jobs and from their ages, never have had one. These young people haven't know much except a long party called college and now that life is staring them in the face, they feel that the corporate world they hoped to be part of is letting them down by not providing 6 figure incomes. The promised land that their instructors said was waiting, isn't, so they protest by waiting instead of trying. This is all going in a bad direction and so far I have to give the police a lot of credit for not giving anyone a reason to ratchet it up.

I also am not sure what is going on but, i belive i too would like to protest wall street. If i fail at something i get to eat the rewards(there arent any),but wall street just has to donate to the party that looks as if it going to win then they get a bail out at my expense. Bankers loaning money to anyone and everyone, has caused the housing market to die. I dont know if youve checked lately but my house is worth less than half what it was. Guess what some of the banks are getting bailed out. Many of my carpenter friends have been out of work for YEARS, cause some one has been manipulating the system for their own greed. I personaly dont care if they burn wall street. If some one is not held accountable for what is going on there will be rioting in the streets before this is over. And washinton trying to spend their way out of the problem isnt a sloution.

Sorry ebb, but I think that you are going after the wrong ones. If you attack the businessmen you are attacking the people that provide millions of jobs and shooting yourself in the foot. I know that there are people doing wrong on Wall Street but the main problem is the politicians. Did you know that the "bankers loaning money to anyone and everyone" was at the insistence of the government? It is part of the failed left wing philosophy of social justice and everyone deserves the American dream whether they can afford it or not.

Any interference or suspension of the Constitution would immediately cause the real reason for the 2nd Amendment to kick in.

Gotta be careful with that kind of reasoning. THE RIGHT PEOPLE have to held accountable, not just 'someone'. That's the Left's answer; pick a scapegoat and lay the blame on them, let the people's anger be misdirected so they don't focus on the REAL criminals- the politicians that put us here. Sound familiar? Yep, that madman in Germany in the 30's decided to lay the blame for Germany's troubles on the Jews and the people went along blindly- they needed someone to blame and they didn't much care who as long as it wasn't them.

Then again, undirected and isolated armed incidents might just be a justification for martial law in the eyes of the sheeple. That kind of response would need to be highly coordinated and goal oriented, the actions of a organized militia- which doesn't yet exist in our country. And that particular train of thought is exactly why the Fed.'s troll websites- looking for evidence of 'domestic terrorists', say thank you to the "Patriot Act".

Basically, those kids you're seeing are people who were sold a bill of goods. They were told that if they attended college, they would be able to get a good-paying job. Now, they've attended college, racked up insane amounts of debt to do it, and they can't get a job. At one time, if you had a degee in engineering, you had a job. Now, you have to live in India. The other thing is that NOT ONE of the people responsible for crashing the economy has been indicted. They KNOW there was wide-spread fraud going on in the mortgage bundling, (they were making up mortgages that didn't have a house or property attached and selling them with the rest of the bundle) and NOBODY has been held responsible. It's not just kids either. A lot of older people are watching their life savings go away, and they're mad about it. The video scratches the surface.

Yes, it's spreading. On my local news this evening, out of Toledo, the useful idiots (for lack of a better term) have descended on Toledo Ohio. Their lists of demands are varied, corporate greed, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, more earth friendly energy, exportation of jobs overseas. The list goes on. Some of the noted groups attending were the anarchists, people wanting and end of capitalism and switching to socialism. There were state employee unions protesting Ohio's ban on collective bargaining, and sending jobs overseas.
