LOL, the reverends are going to have a field day going on CNN and Olbermann's show talking about more injustice and poverty etc. Additionally, how not having enough food stamps for those with 8 childern in the Barrios or Ghettos is a human rights crime.

I'm not from the Georgia area, so I'm light on the details.. Is there a chance he did not do it? I'm all for the death penalty, as long as the evidence is rock solid...Comment

1989 it happened. WOW!! If I was the widow, I would hate the judicial system. After the dookie hits the fan, I expect a lot of widespread violence. The "he finally got whats coming to him!" gang, is gonna be rampant. One of the things that I always liked about the cowboy movies was that if the bad guy was arrested on friday, he was hanging by monday. Just once I wish the punishment would fit the crime. I remember when that kid in singapore spray painted a car, and the rest of the world was in an uproar because he was going to get caned. Instead of multiple (cant remember how many licks he was supposed to get) licks, he ended up with just one. Whats was the crime rate in singapore back then...almost nothing.Comment

I'll admit, my pucker factor is pretty well lit on this one. Could be the excuse some people need for "Throwing a party" as it were.

I'm strange in my views on the death penalty anyway. I don't believe in prisons. They don't benefit society other than to paint a thin coat of 'security' on a problem that is bigger than anyone wants to admit. I'd be a fan of no prison past sentencing. I am a fan of the death penalty. I'm also a fan of mercy.
Like I said, I'm strange.---------------

If any of you have been watching the coverage, there are many people on the edge of a road holding signs showing an image of Davis with one hand and the other raised in a fist.
I hope cooler heads prevail, no matter the decision from the SC.
Although it's likely to go down to party lines, like it always does anymore. At least there will be some hope, unless someone else leaves the bench, or worse.If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

It is a touchy subject, Just this morning a person in management, not making the wisest choice decided to play a song in honor of "you know who" And I bet all of us here can guess wich song he played over the PA. (clue it was sung by Queen)... Needless to say we almost had a mini riot here!!Comment

I live about 12 miles from the prison they executed him at.
