Anyone see this yet? What did you think of it.
Saw it tonight, I give it 3 stars on the Post Apoc rating scale (out of 5 stars).
Pros- shows a little bit of realness albeit LATE in regards to people jacking stuff, gubmint lieing to the people, looting, etc.
Cons- Matt Damon, the gal from Shallow Hal that has aged about 50 years in the last 5 Gywneth Paltrow or some stuff IIRC. Wife isn't here to give me help on this right now. Paltrow is the cheating wife that brings the thing home to America- see I TOLD you jezebels would be our darn downfall!!! lol
Serious cons- gubmint saves the day, don't trust "alternate" medicine, don't trust "bloggers" that don't tow the gubmint line. Keep calm, the gubmint will save us, "we all go down together" BS mentality and the usual programming.
But their is some "visual imagery" not normally seen by Americans, set in American cities that is worth seeing. I would probably see it again, maybe with the family.
No "major" disturbing scenes. I'd take my 11 year old boy to it but I'd explain ahead of time what he was going to see and afterwards discuss what was BS and what wasn't.
Their isn't a lot of disaster type movies out there. We don't watch a lot of movies at the theater as it is. I think this is the 2nd movie I've seen this year in the theater.
If it's in your town and not too much of a PITB to go, see it.
