Not a big oil reservoir but an A for using what is unusable to make something useful (it is an oil lamp)

Now that is cool. I assume those lil stones help illuminate the room?

I just want to know how to get the thread and guts out of a bulb without busting it. I may try this one on old bulbs once removed. So cool

I just want to know how to get the thread and guts out of a bulb without busting it. He said they cut the end off on the metal and then carefully pulled out the stuff and it was a frosted bulb that they washed out with water to clean of the powder coating

let us know how it works out

That was cool. Below is a link to an easier way to make a homemade oil lamp. It's amazing how inventive humans can be.

The "lil stones" look to be squashed, or "flat marbles", and are used as a base to keep the lamp body "bulb" upright. Great idea this one. I have a book around here somewhere that talks of using recycled bulbs with the threaded metal contact piece, removed to make homemade chemistry glass pieces. Years ago I saw one of the "AS SEEN ON T.V."pieces that was selling a bottle and jug, glass cutter, and thought that this would be a great way to cut them for that purpose.

It sometimes amazes me at just how clever some people can be with recycled items.:D
