  • There are over twelve million illegal immigrants in the United States,

most of those are from Mexico and central America. What do you think will happen when the economy really takes a nose dive. Already we are seeing more people going back to Mexico where there are fewer unemployed people.

Will Mexico let them back in? It would drive up unemployment there.

Would there be other problems. By virtue of being here they have already commited a criminal act - would it be the only one they commit?

A lot of Mexicans here in GA are going back to Mexico. Now that companies are doing this E Verify and with the threat of random police stops, they dont want to take the chance. My younger brother works with one that is so scared he only leaves the house to go to work, and he is in the process of becoming legal. Good for lil bro because the guy is going to sell him his car very cheap because he is too scared to drive it.

The ones I worry about here in GA are the ones in Forest Park and North of Atlanta (Gwinnett). They are full of gangs, cockroaches, lowlifes, and garbage. They recruit daily and I know the police in Gwinnett County are having a real hard time with them.

Once we police the borders better (maybe with the new POTUS in 2012) we can start weeding them out instead of adding to the antbed
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

We have had this problem in Va for many years, it began in great force in middle 1980's when his majesty granted a mass amnesty to all the illegals then. Gangs, such as MS-13 have exploded, wages have been watered down, massive income has left the country in the form of under the table wages, etc.. Wonder why medical costs have skyrocketed over the pass several years? Well if someone is illegal and have no insurances, they do not pay in the ER, and disappear after that.

Let me add, if anyone thinks that the next president will do anything other then maybe a Ron Paul, it will not happen. Let the record show that Neo-con republicans not classical conservatives are very liberal, NAFTA was dreamed up by Regan, pushed ahead by Bush, then signed by Clinton. NAFTA has sent American jobs to Mexico, Brzail and other places in Latin America. Regan signed the mass amnesty bill in 1986 to flood the country with the scum of Latin American society.

If anyone votes for Perry (an ex liberal democrat like Regan), Perry will expand on NAFTA and probably push another mass Amnesty program. The Republicans for the most part have not had a Paleo-classical conservative platform since Eisenhower!! Since Nixon it has generally been quite liberal, things like Affirmative Action, expanding the education department, the creation of the EPA, and creating NAFTA.

Maybe the liberals will promise to take care of them with our money like the rest of the entitlement class, and the ones with no morals or work ethic will stay, while the ones willing to work will go back to Mexico searching for jobs. I think a bunch will hang around and try to exploit the system, many of the ones who actually work, although illegally, will leave. And they will commit crimes, at least as much as illegals commit crimes now, but probably more.

Coyote Cuffer, I laughed out loud on that one! Now, that's what I call a "Comprehensive Immigration Policy!"

Funny how in 2007 there were as many as 45m incountry. By 2009, it had dropped to 32m. Now it's down to 12m? I think there must be some of that new math at work here. The standing joke in Colorado is that a messicans auto insurance is "running away from the accident". I've seen it personally. I work with a kid who was born in the USA. His wife is an illegeal. They paid a total of $50 in hospital charges when their 2 boys were born. Of course, they weren't "married" at that time.
BTW, Ron Paul is worse than most of the other Repubicans concerning illegeal immigration. "Well, we couldn't really just deport them all, could we?" Sure would be nice to try, though.

WiseOwl, we must live near each other. Go to the DMV any day of the week in Gwinnett County and there are more that 20 million folks from south of the border in-line for licenses. The last time I had my DL renewed, I went three counties north so I could get it in the same day. Go to the WalMart on WIC or SNAP day and see that many more getting groceries. I feel for these people as they are trying to scratch out an existence. I also feel for them as I know they are being manipulated for votes.

I was enraged the night I took my wife, the RN, to ER and had to wait 2 hours because of the backlog of illegals in the ER. I watched her slip in and out of consciousness as we waited for people being treated for minor injuries, colds and flu. She had a high fever from contracting Meningitis from an illegal at the hospital where she worked. She recovered, but it took 4 months and she never returned to nursing. Two more experienced nurses left the hospital as well...in Gwinnett County. Not to worry. Their jobs were filled by foreign nurses with degrees from India.

Proof to this point came out in the Republican debate tonight. Perry defended his approval of FREE college for children of illegal aliens in Texas. He made the point that only four legislators voted against the bill. Translation: There are SO MANY hispanics in Texas that only four representatives have the political will to vote responsibly,(You must have the Hispanic vote to be elected in Texas). Perry stated that we can't afford to let the children of illegals become a drain on society. OK, by that logic, what can I do to become an illegal alien? I will not be deported because they said we cannot do that. I have THREE children that plan to work their way through college. If we could become " wetbacks", for a few years I would sure save a bundle and my kids wouldn't have to WORK for anything! Look at the money I could save on healthcare, food, housing, taxes, education. The newest vehicle I own now has almost 200K miles on it. I could buy myself and my wife NEW vehicles! I wish Perry would explain why illegal workers can't work their way up the ladder like everyone else. You can work in this country as a documented worker without breaking any laws. Illegal is Illegal, it is very simple. Simply enforcing the Federal laws that have been on the books for 25 years would do much to solve the problem. My rant of the day. Thank you. CC

CC, you're right Rick Perry loves illegals.

The "free college" for illegal aliens really burns my butt!

After two years of college my daughter has had to come home to work and pay her loans down before she can return to school.

Her two black roomates attended school for free aside from meals. Their education was paid for by the UNCF.

White Americans that are in a low to middle income family have a tough time getting loans.

Just another way of "redistributing the wealth".

Bill, I am south of Atlanta about 50-75 miles. Soon in the next year to be north of Atlanta that distance.

                      Gwinnett is terrible....just terrible.

Important point: Illegal,(unlawful),= FREE EDUCATION legal,(American who is not unlawful),= loans and responsibility or NO EDUCATION or as my Governor put it, "Drag on Society". Daily rant #2

Notice: I am not attacking hispanics, I am tired of standing in line behind entitled illegals, no matter what nationality they are. CC

One of my Best friends is a LEO and he was telling me the other day that his squad hit a drop house and found 15 illegal’s and a Quran and a stack of papers all written in Arabic. Also there was a map of the local power plants in the area. It’s not just the illegal’s coming across the border. We have huge gaps in our security as a country. If some (Not all) illegal’s are willing to carry drugs across the border to pay for their way across the border by coyotes then they would be willing to take photos of our power plants, water sources, infrastructure and even go as far as get jobs that could benefit a terrorist cell. If you are working for a cartel you would not have a problem making money from terrorist. That means we have a possible 12 million undocumented illegal immigrant terrorist cell already established in our country waiting for orders or the cash to conduct their work.
When an emergency is upon you the time for preparation has past.

I had to turn off that disgrace of a debate last night and understood why I voted third party last time. This illegal problem has been a great benefit for the richest Americans, they provide cheap labor, under the table wages and no benefits, illegals are not even on the books. My real problem is with the business that employ these people. Not only has corporate American by way of their political stooges sent millions of jobs overseas, they have replaced domestic jobs with illegal labor in many cases. Now, I understand that a typical American will not garden for 10 dollars an hour taxed, but no effort is needed to improve American labor wages if there is a cheap and illegal alternative. Mr Perry is typical of this, he knows he benefits off illegal labor in one way or another, but he never has to subsidized their needs, such as schooling(not that they want to learn English), hospitals, housing etc. Also on how much money leaves the country via cash wiring service back to Central America, that damages the economy here in a major way. The working class Americans perform this for him and other like him, while Perry gets another accountant to poke another loop hole in the law.

If Perry or another like minded Republican wins in 2012, I would suspect another attempt at mass amnesty and another wave of mass of mass outsourcing via a GAFTA on steroids.

                            Terrible!!

Because out government allows this to continue, I can only conclude its by design, to help our economy implode then offer a global currency as a "solution". They get more control and we get the shaft.
