[QUOTE]When Bill Dawson returned to the community garden at the Franklin Park Conservatory on Tuesday, he saw someone who was busy reaping what others had sown.
Dawson parked his car and walked up to the woman who was wandering through the 40 garden beds, filling a trash bag with plump green tomatoes.

Man that guy was a jerk! Telling that poor lady she couldn't have those tomatoes. Your right 1Admin the Kumbabya community won't work. That guy should be singing..

        "We are the world
        We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
        So let's start giving"

Then he would have the "right" and "fair" way to be.
People like this guy give the "have's" a bad name...I mean, what will all the "don't have's" think of them now?

        :D

Sounds like some school systems where the kids have to place all their new school supplies into one big box to be redistributed to everyone else. Glad I don't have to deal with this anymore.

The treehuggers where I work decided to collectively plant a whopping 4sq ft organic garden. Pictures were sent out to all employees inviting all to share.

That's just despicable..... The commies and socialists always said if they could get control of the education system they wouldn't care who was running the country. They have had control of the education system for 30 or more years AND they have their guy in office.

Yep, that is how my daughters elementary school handles school supplies... It all dumps into one cabinet and they give it out from there...

Fortunately this school has not been too pushy on the lib-tard agenda... But the summer camp we had her in this summer was environmentalist-wacko, indoctrination hell. I had to de-program her every day as we talked about what she did at camp that day. If I wasn't on a contract for the summer with them, I would have pulled her out. But next summer we will do something else...

I’m from the U.K, and that’d be crazy even by our standards

Mind you, liberals have always been totally ignorant to 'the law of unintended consequences'.....

Sure it’s going to have the desired effect on a lot of the kids, but I reckon for some it will be a very important life lesson that most people don’t learn until they start having to work and pay taxes.

Just from watching the behavior of people, it should be not surprise that a large part of our society will take what they want regardless. I do believe that the story of the ant and grasshopper applies to this situation. I think most of us have seen the survey conducted on college campuses where 'spreading the wealth' was supported by most. However, 'spreading the grade' was seen as unfair. Those who really believe in Kumbaya have absolutely no idea of human behavior.

The Kumbaya generation will quickly change their thinking once they have to give up their own comfort for the benefit of another who has not or will not, work for it.

I had no idea about the school supplies. Where is this happening? What happens to parents who refuse to comply?

The sharing of school supplies has been going on for several years now. It totally annoys me to no end. To add insult to injury, even my daughter's private Christian school does this as well. She started school mid-year this past January after homeschooling for the past 4 years and after sending in a boat load of school supplies I also put a bunch of notebook paper in her binder for her to use. Well her teacher took it out and added it to the classroom supplies which completely annoyed me to no end. So I had a chat with the teacher and explained that if my daughter wanted to keep a supply of paper in her binder for her own personal use, she will be able to do so and that I expect the teacher to leave it alone. If the teacher needed me to add to the "classroom supply" then I would do so but to leave my daughter's supply alone. That was that, the teacher dropped it finally.

In public schools, this is a very common practice.

I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,

Wow! And this next generation will grow up thinking NOTHING of it.

I'll gladly buy and give some paper, pencils, etc. to some kids that might actually NEED it. But to be forced to do it is a totally different thing.

The sad thing is how the socialism is in church and "churchy opportunities" (LOL). You see the mom's and dad's smoking, driving big mommy bus SUV's and the kids coming in to activities starving, just devouring 2 and 3 sets of snacks. Why? Cause the sorry arse parents knew the church would feed them (snacks are really being "fed") so they don't waste a couple bucks on them.
