This is what the focus needs to be more than politics right now. SKILLS
Yes is harder than having an opinion but opinions wont keep you alive after an events. Kudos to the boy for having knowledge and skills and getting out from behind the "box". Great job to those who taught him. His execution was less than perfect but the results were more than perfect, with a By His Grace Adventure.

Amen. He had quite the presence of mind (and training, knowledge) for a scout. Everyone probably saw only one set of foot prints in the sand.

In one interview he was asked if he cried, and he said yes. What I like about this is that is shows that even though he was stressed he managed to work through it and think of solutions. Kudos to him.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

I can only hope when my boys start to get around this age and in the scouts, that they have the same determination and common sense.

Oh yeah, Kudos to this kid!
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?
