  • Ok It Must Be Getting Serious Now

About two years ago one of my friends that I see occasionally happened to walk into my garage when I was getting ready to put a few hundred pounds of rice into buckets. He asked "whats all the rice for?", knowing this guy is one of the sheeple I replied "I'm going to a big wedding" and changed the subject. A few weeks later he stops by and as we're shooting the breeze he says "with all the food, guns and ammo you have I'm coming here if something happens" I laughingly told him he'd be the first one I shot and we went back to our conversation. Well I haven't seen this guy for a year and a half and yesterday he calls me and starts asking me a bunch of questions about food storage and seemed genuinely concerned about the situation in our country/world.

This guy is a dyed in the wool union business agent obama supporter. It really makes me think things are getting serious.

Good for him. Sounds like he sees the fragility in the world and that stored supplies and alternative means are money in the bank life savers.

It's nice to see your friend has turned around in his life and is preparing for whatever can come his way...

But it still reinforces the OPSEC portion of preparedness. Those that know about your preps can and will use that knowledge for both good and bad. Good for knowing who to get assistance from when times are good, bad because they know you are loaded when times aren't so good.

But it's nice to see some sheeple are waking up

Casual friends shouldn't know so much about your business.

My wife and I had a serious sit down a year ago in July with some really good friends who are more like family....we laid it out for them over an hour...you should have seen the looks on their faces...you would have thought I just read them a fiction story....it took about a week for it to sink in with them because they just couldn't believe it could happen here in America....after a month or so they started to see subtle changes in food prices etc. Then they started seeing other things they never paid attention to before....since then they have gone full throttle and have managed to secure the necessary items to survive...wish more people could see the light

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

I've known the guy since junior high school so Not sure how casual that is.

I was in the garage and he stopped by my wife told him where to find me.

He's known I belong to a gun club and shoot quite a bit.

Yep, I'm telling him to start buying a couple extra cans of the things he usually buys so he can store what he eats. After he gets a month or two of canned goods and IF he's still interested we'll talk LTS food.

I did not mention this site.............. yet.

he either saw right through your rice wedding lies or you've given him too much. I'm not trying to be insultive I'm just saying if you're gonna shoot the man, your words then he shouldn't know.

I mentioned this site to one of my good friends and I was told " Me and pops got more guns, bullets, and trigger time than most. We have a retreat up in WV, know 10 ways to get there, we got gear, food and knowledge. The only thing I could contribute to that site is some smart*** comments and probably eat some libs apart."

I love this dude. Just got himself a new AR-10 Sniper Rifle, 1911 and an M4 couple of weeks ago. I guess the benefits of an only child with a good job living at home with like minded parents........Cant wait to go and shoot at the " Walker Texas Ranger Ranch"......

I tried to get my brother on here but his 2 kids keep him so busy he has to do #2 late at night! I echo all knowledge to him. They got the money but for some reason would rather invest in crap hole houses to "flip" or other needless junk. But its his Mrs, not him that makes those decisions....but she makes not only makes the bread, but the grain grinder too. I send both of em articles and the such on a weekly basis so hopefully one day I go over there and see the 5 B's in their basement.

OPSEC. If he isn't in your SHTF group, he shouldn't know about your preps. Who knows who he may blab to one day trying to act cool during a discussion.
