Is a worst time a better time?

I have watched the the stupidity and seemingly paralyzed segments of the population just give themselves to the current state of affairs in our society these days. What would it take for some of our best people to awaken from their mental slumber?

I have been one of those people that think that the worst is better scenario is actually good for many on this board's point of view. With that said, under our current status quo political and economic dynamic, would doing the following help direct like minded people?

1. Ship all the food and medicine overseas?
2. Send the remaining jobs to foreign nations?
3. Import more foreign workers into the U.S?
4. Start another major war with Iran or N. Korea?

Maybe you have other ideas?
