These folks are experiencing The End Of The World As We Know It

I feel sadend by this to such a huge degree that is hard to express. The however, is that they are living possibly as many will be Post PAW. There are alot of lessons to be learned from them and how they are living. Keep an open mind when viewing and reading and learn if possible from how they are managing.

The only thing that I wonder about this place is: Is there crime and or theft? Is there any security? What do they do during torrential downpours?

I could do this, not with all those folks, (and maybe without the wife) and have a P.O. Box for mail and work part time or full time somewhere. I love the concept but I just don't know how safe it would be in the PRE PAW, but in the PAW, it would be a whole lot tougher....maybe having a small Motorhome and then a bike or motor scooter to get around with......

Matter of fact, I have been wanting to live like this for some time now, just in the mountains near fresh water..........all I need is 2 acres.....

One thing is for certain though, I bet there is some serious ingenuity and creativity going on in these camps
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Yep me and a work buddy discussed the security and hostilities. Only a few have locks which is laughable anyway because the windows are cardboard. Right now they seem to be better off in these areas than most of the country.

Makes me want to count my blessings. My question is do these people have a plan to change there circumstance? One lady said she could live like this the rest of her life - really? Well, I "could too" but I will work hard so I don't "have too". This is why our preps are so important. This is why a plan is so important.

I think when you move in that place, you have lost everything anyway, there is nothing to lock up.They're probably all honest people or they wouldn't be there, they'd be burglarizing homes for money, silver, gold ect.

I think most of their plans are going to depend on what goes on in DC the next couple yrs.Jobs??? The state or even the feds will not let them live there for long, all it will take is for one person to die from pneumonia, food poisen ect. and the goon squads will be there with the paddy wagons..

Looks to me to be professionally homeless due to CHOICE, a step above the transients that float from town to town...

Dude looks like he has no muscles anywhere, so probably only works hard at drinking beer for that gut...

I wouldn't worry too much about them surviving the winter, the tent city has been there for five years. They look to being doing as well as a lot of people in conventional neighborhoods- but without mortgages, utility bills, etc. but I wonder how much of their basic needs are met by THEM and how much is the result of charity and hand outs?

All I can say is that even when you think you have it bad...theres always some one worse off than you....thought I had it bad when my wife got really sick and we lost our home and we sold everything we had just to get buy...but now we are on the rebound and God has provided for us by giving us the insight to do all of this..and directing us to people who helped get us going....I can say that by not losing faith kept me going....It is sad they lost it all...although I have to ask myself which of these people are truly in need and which are freeloading...sorry nature of my job to think like that

Winters really arent all that bad guys. Some of the best camping is in the snow in the dead of winter. It's all about, wait for it, Preparedness. Believe me, us northerners are just as concerned for the southerners as you are for us. Its all relative. You have heat that we just cannot handle, Much larger populations (potential combatants), so on and so on. There is a video on youtube of a hermit named willard who lived in a hut in nova scotia for decades, look it up. Also, I'm sure we have all seen alone in the wilderness with **** Proeneke in the Alaskan wilds. What it boils down to is your ability to live in a hostile environment, and if your here your obviuosly more prepared then most. Hopefully we will be able to assist those who have not prepared their spare jar of oil (biblical reference).
