to the fact that I am not as prepared as I should be. Long story short, hubby calls me from work to tell me to pack suit cases, etc. in case we have to evacuate our home because there are wildfires causing evacuations a couple of counties away from us. In the end, we thankfully didn't have to evacuate our home. Thank you, Jesus!
I have been prepping for almost a year, mainly focusing on food and water storage, canning, dehydrating, learning as much as I can, etc. We have a limited budget so I have been doing what I can and I have a great stockpile of food going.
BUT I have no bug out bags prepared for us. This potential evacuation has made this a priority now!
If you don't have BOBs, do so! I know I am preaching to the choir here, but maybe for newbies and not-so-newbies without BOBs, don't put this off. This is something that needs to be done.
Lesson learned.
