  • Is this it? POLL

    Just as the title states.

PRIVATE poll, no one will see what you choose.

Is all the turmoil the last couple days, the downgrade, the market slide, etc. the "start" of a full on economic collapse or no?

It will be interesting to see the results of this. We'll make it a 3 day poll.
    39
Yes, but it may take a while to get there
    94.87%
    37
    Nope, everything will be rosey
    5.13%
    2

    The poll is expired.

Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Don't know how much control (if any) we have in Europe, a lot depends on what happens there. I've got to have faith that we can pull out of this. It's going to be slow and painful. Lost a lot of money over the last five days (when you don't have much a little makes a lot). I'll keep fretting and sweating' hoping for the best preparing for the worst. (Really scary kids !)

All this happens as I lose my job.......if I didn't have a wife...well, if I didn't have two kids.....I would go Jeremiah Johnson and into the damn woods.....all of this crap going on with the country, the economy, that idiot in the white house and my employment situation is making me plain sick. All I can do is pray for the best and prepare for the worst.......

Sorry to hear you lost your job bro. Sucky situation without a doubt but it does leave you with some latitude for the time being. That might prove very helpful if things get worse.

If you want to move to missouri and can pass an extensive background\drug test I might be able to get you on here in the pharmacy. But you would have to move here. :(

I voted in the poll. I believe it's the begining of the collapse that obama has been trying start. After all you can't start your vision of what the country should be if you don't destroy America first.

My prayers to Wise Owl.... hang tough.

From one who just got over unemployment from the fall of 2010 to April 2011, I know your pain... Keep looking and continue to sell yourself and your skills in interviews... So many applicants don't know how to show an employer how they specifically can benefit their company... It won't be easy, but there is work out there... somewhere.

Wise Owl- I am sorry to hear about your loss. I was also unemployed from September to February of this year. It is tough, but connections and networking were the way I got hired. I will pray for you and your family.

I voted "Yes." I will say this this is not the start, but another grain of rice or straw on the side of the scale. A few events like what we are seeing and I think in a year or twos time this will be interesting to say the least.

Thanks for the kind and encouraging words yall, I truly appreciate it.

I had a great post written up and then the power went out as I was typing the last words...

I will put it like this, the last 4 jobs I have had have been from companies that ended up being unethical and I can not work like that. I am glad that my recent employer let me go on my own terms which was terminated due to lack of work, and the unemployment should go through if the unreachable HR person for the old company would comply. All of my jobs have been in sales because I am very good with people, relationships and drop their "initial defenses" because I am not the age ole "crooked vacuum salesman." My wife graduates in May and should be teaching in her own class ( PAYCHECK) next fall. With my skillset I should bounce back. I am honest, loyal and intelligent, 3 things that aren't applied in the business world as much these days......

I have been trying to do odd jobs to get extra cash but everyone is doing that around here and they do work cheap, as well as cheap work.

I have an EXCELLENT resume out there so its just the waiting game now.

Ya know, there would be plenty of jobs out there if the gov't would just help small businesses. Give breaks and give penalties to those that take theirs overseas. I am getting so sick of what is going on today, even though its not as bad as it seems, it is still pretty bad. Sometimes I just want to pull a "wolverines" and start it, ya know?

As for the poll question, I think we are close, maybe a couple of years away from the pooper. All it is going to take is some of these riots or flash mobs to go to the wrong town where people are armed. When there are a few dead minority bodies littered about, that will start the gun laws and potential bannings. Then this idiot in the white house is going to keep doing whatever he can possibly do to tear us apart.

                          I call 2012, the Barackalypse....
