I'm not sure if there are any podcasts, but there are YouTube videos done by 1Admin and Protus that are very informative.

A regular podcast has been in the planning for a while.

I did a shortwave radio show for two years from June of 1998 till August 2000 called "The Survival Report." It was fun, but costly. I put myself in the hole almost $15K paying the airtime costs for the show. Obviously podcasting is a good bit cheaper though. :)

Right now, so many irons I can barely SEE the fire :)
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Admin I would think you would be wiser to do your own thing. If you wanted to do it, do it right. But you are correct it will take time and a lot of it to do a good job. Which i have not doubt you planning to do it right when you do it, judging by the Forum.

I am speaking out of ignorance...why would it cost you something to talk on the air if you have a HAM setup? Besides the obvious cost of initial equipment, unless it costs that much to get a HAM setup.

Podcast is definitely the way to go, the cost of hosting a Podcast is a lot cheaper than $15K.

E- shortwave as in WWCR and WGTG, both super huge transmit across the country 500,000 watt type deals.

Also, it's illegal in HAM to "broadcast" and that would be considered broadcasting.

LD3 - thanks for the clarification. I understand now how you could spend that kind of money doing broadcasts like that.
