  • Tropical Wave, FL Peninsula and Gulf coast LA and east!

    As of 2pm EDT:

"1. A LARGE BUT DISORGANIZED AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER
THE SOUTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO...SOUTH FLORIDA...PORTIONS OF CUBA
AND THE BAHAMAS IS ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE INTERACTING WITH
AN UPPER LOW. THIS ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO DRIFT NORTHWARD WITH NO
SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF
THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
    NEXT 48 HOURS."

For my AO, NOAA has issued a hazardous weather outlook for increase Thunderstorm Activity associated with the wave from about now thru Thurs til Fri.
With the rain we've been receiving, I am beginning to wonder if/when we will see local flooding.

PAY 'TENTION FOLKS IT'S THAT SEASON!

No, don't send it to Matt! Send it to N.E. Florida, S.E. Georgia. The wildfire in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge has been burning for almost three months now and has consumed well over 300,000 acres. This is in addition to a hundred or more local wildfires in Fla/Ga. We need some SERIOUS rain.
