I just read 3 good books. They were recommended to me by my 13 year old daughter. We are both readers, but this is the first time she has ever recommended books for me to read. They are considered youth science fiction (not my typical genre, but I needed a book). Life as We Knew It, The Dead & the Gone and This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer. It's about the moon getting hit by an asteroid and knocking it out of its orbit and the devastation that follows. I'm glad my daughter read these books, it helped her understand why I began prepping. Anyway, I thought I would pass on this info incase someone is looking for a good read for a preteen/teen that justifies our prepping.

Thank you for sharing. Although I don't read very many books, my daughter loves to read. She has been thinking more and more about when the SHTF. So I will tell her about those books, and she can tell my wife about them. This might be able get her to think about a time very different then how we live now.
Heck if they're good I may even read them with the very little free time I have at this time.
