My thoughts on communications:

These are just my opinions; please post other wise if you have other info!

Day 1 to day 3:
People will use generators and battery back up so that they can talk/live as long as possible in the fashion that is normal to them (radios, internet, TV, refrigerators, window a/c, etc.). They will use radios until they run out of a way to power them, or realize help in not a few days a way. FRS radio
