  • States with the most Freedom

See how your state measures up:

This study comprehensively ranks the American states on their public policies that affect individual freedoms in the economic, social, and personal spheres.

Hmm I would have to see their data on that.
New Hampshire is completely surrounded by liberal states, hard to believe there is no spill over that doesn't effect its #1 status.
Also, Vermont is more free than Alaska!?!? Another puzzling let me see the criteria and data before I believe that.

Finally, I spent time in Virginia, no way is that a freer state than my great state of Texas I am residing in. Or am I confusing Virginia with that armpit of a democrat state Maryland? Oh, Maryland did make #1 on a list recently, #1 at having state laws FOSTERING illegal immigration to their state.

Mr. Rawles has been talking on his blog about the American Redoubt (http://www.survivalblog.com/redoubt.html) but here is an other list of states and how they rank which might interest you all. http://www.thesurvivalistblog.net/ov...eedom-ranking/

Maryland is the armpit of the nation with exception of DC and maybe California, i'm planning on getting out as soon as possible.

Interesting. I'll have to read more of what they have to say but based on my current knowledge of state laws and regs I don't think I agree with much of what they have on that map. Colorado got a 7 and New Mexico got 37? Illinois is 41 and Ohio is 42? I'm from Ohio and while there are things I wish were different here, I consider OH to be far and away above Ill on the freedom scale. I'll read further, maybe I'm missing something.
